Future Plans for Killeen: Firm plans for the future Texas A&M Central Texas campus are just days old, but Killeen city leaders are excited about the economic boost it is likely to bring to Central Texas. The new campus will sit on 662 acres at the intersection of Highway 195 and 201. It will start with a single building for 3,200 students. Eventually the University will include 19 academic buildings, a 30,000-seat football stadium, and a dorm for 1,800 students. Once the campus is complete, it will be able to accommodate 15,000 students.
